Employee Relations

Many companies strive to be an "employer of choice" yet fail to commit to ensuring that the people side of the business is aligned with the direction that the business is heading. An organization can have a clear business plan, adequate budgets and fair growth targets but without the buy-in of the employees the goals will never be achieved.

Too often employees are left working while senior and executive management are planning for the future without considering their most important assets......the employees. Although business decisions need to be made, it is often the employees who are impacted the most and may have ideas and valuable input to share about their everyday.

High turnover and low morale have the biggest impact to any organizations productivity and understanding your employees needs and challenges can make all the difference.

 Employee Focus Groups

Asking for employees to share their opinions and thoughts can be very scary to many and will often result in hesitation. Their greatest fear is that their could be repercussions for sharing.

Providing them with a forum to do so openly and anonymously will provide your organization with a sense of what areas need to be addressed and how you can impact the majority of your employees positively.

CMCG will come into your organization and meet with randomly selected employees from different departments at different levels. Discussions will be about what could be changed and implemented within the organization from an operational and employee perspective based on what they see from a day-to-day.

Assuring them that participant names are not needed and that the WHAT is more important than the WHO, will gain their confidence. Our experience in these focus groups opens the door to a very informative discussion that can provide the organization with insight often missed.
Communication

Employees who feel involved and kept abreast with decisions being made by their leaders often have a higher performance level as they feel part of the business and that their contributions matter.

What should and should not be shared or "cascaded down" the organization is often debated especially when the organization is struggling.

Its important to consider that like in any relationship, keeping the truth from others rarely ends well and the employer-employee relationship is no different.

Employees can sense when things are tough and it are those times that organizations need their dedication the most.

CMCG will work with you to develop a communication strategy targeting your employee base and we will coach your leaders on how and when to address the positive and negative situations of regular business.
